Ultimate Smashburger with Jalapeño Bacon Jam

This incredible smashburger combines the perfect crusty patty with a sweet and spicy jalapeño bacon jam that takes it to the next level.

Ingredients

For the Jalapeño Bacon Jam:

  • 6-8 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 3 jalapeños, finely diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste

  • 1/4 cup bourbon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

For the Burger Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup Duke’s mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet relish
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • Smoked paprika
  • All-purpose seasoning

For the Burgers:

  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 2 brioche buns
  • 4-8 slices deli-style American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt
  • All-purpose seasoning

Step 1: Make the Jalapeño Bacon Jam
