Frogmore Stew Recipe
Frogmore Stew, despite its name, contains no frogs and isn’t actually a stew. This beloved Low Country boil is a one-pot wonder that’s perfect for casual gatherings and beach parties.

Ingredients
- 6 quarts water
- 1 cup Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 box Zatarain’s Crab Boil
- 2 pounds small red potatoes
- 2 pounds smoked sausage, sliced into 2-inch pieces
- 12 ears fresh corn, husked and cut into quarters
- 4 pounds large unpeeled shrimp
Instructions
1. Combine water, Old Bay Seasoning, and Zatarain’s Crab Boil in a large stockpot. Bring to a boil over high heat.
2. Add red potatoes to the boiling water. Cook for about 15 minutes until they start to become tender.
3. Add sliced smoked sausage to the pot. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
4. Gently place corn quarters into the pot. Cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Add unpeeled shrimp to the pot and stir gently. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
6. Drain the contents of the pot using a large colander.
7. Transfer to a large serving platter or individual bowls. Serve hot and enjoy!
