‘Floribama Shore’ star dead at 33 following devastating organ failure diagnosis
A reality television favourite has tragically passed away far too soon.
The news has left friends, family, and fans completely heartbroken.
Beloved Reality Star Gone Too Soon
Kirk Medas, known for his appearances on MTV’s “Floribama Shore,” has died at the young age of 33.
The devastating news was confirmed via the official Instagram account for the show on Friday night.
The statement read:
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Kirk Medas, a beloved member of the Floribama Shore family. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fans during this difficult time.”

A Devastating Diagnosis
Details surrounding his sudden decline emerged shortly before his passing.
Concerns grew after reports surfaced that Medas had been admitted to hospital.
His family shared with TMZ that he was battling a “severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis.”
This incredibly serious condition involves pancreatic tissue dying off, leading to widespread inflammation and potential organ failure.

Castmates Rally in Support
As Kirk fought for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), his former “Floribama Shore” castmates rallied around him.
Aimee Hall shared an emotional update just a day before his death, posting a photo of Kirk in the ICU.

“Our friend Kirk has been in the ICU for over two weeks now, battling a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis. He’s currently on a ventilator, and the situation is incredibly serious,” Hall wrote.
She mentioned fellow castmate Nilsa Prowant frequently travelling to Miami to be by his side.
Hall also revealed the heartbreaking detail that Medas did not have medical insurance, prompting his mother to start a GoFundMe to cover the mounting hospital bills.

“If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t, your prayers mean just as much,” Hall pleaded with fans.
“Please pray for Kirk. Pray for his mother. Pray for his friends. And pray for his castmates—we’re all hurting watching our brother fight this battle. Thank you for your love and support.”
Nilsa Prowant also shared her own heartfelt message before his passing, posting a video of happier times.
“Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love, prayers, donations, messages, and support for Kirk. He’s been in the ICU on a ventilator for two weeks now, fighting necrotizing pancreatitis and sepsis,” Prowant shared.

“Watching someone you love go through something so painful and uncertain is heartbreaking… Please keep praying for him…he’s strong, and we’re believing in healing, recovery, and a miracle.”
Remembering Kirk Medas
Medas became a familiar face to reality TV fans during his time on “Floribama Shore.”
He appeared in 25 episodes of the MTV series between 2017 and 2020.
The show followed a group of young adults living together during the summer on the Florida Panhandle.

The Tragic Final Cause
Despite the hopes and prayers of many, Kirk Medas tragically succumbed to his illness.
After more than two weeks fighting in the ICU, his body could no longer withstand the devastating effects of his condition.
His father confirmed to TMZ that the specific cause of death was liver failure, a complication stemming from the severe necrotizing pancreatitis he was battling.
Kirk Medas’s passing marks a sad end to a life remembered fondly by his co-stars and viewers.
