  • 3 pieces sliced bread
  • 2-3 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2-3 leaves Romaine lettuce
  • 2 slices tomato
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 pieces bacon, cooked crispy
  • 1 thick slice cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices turkey breast
  • 2 slices ham

Steps

  1. Toast all bread slices until golden brown, then spread a thin layer of softened butter on both sides of each slice while still warm.
  2. Take one slice of the buttered toast and spread mayonnaise on one side. Layer with fresh Romaine lettuce and tomato slices. Season with a pinch of kosher salt and fresh black pepper. Add the crispy bacon strips.
  3. Take the second slice of toast and spread mayonnaise on both sides. Place it mayo-side down onto the bacon. Top with cheddar cheese, followed by turkey and ham slices.
  4. Spread mayonnaise on one side of the final piece of toast and place it mayo-side down on top of the meat layers. Secure the sandwich with toothpicks at four corners and slice diagonally into triangles.
