Perfect for busy weeknights or impressing dinner guests, this dish proves that delicious doesn’t have to mean complicated.

Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 6 medium button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter for frying
Instructions
1. Clean and slice the mushrooms into 1/4-inch (0.6 cm) thick slices.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter, sliced mushrooms, and onion powder.
3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms release their liquid and it evaporates completely.
4. Add chicken pieces to the skillet. Stir to combine with mushrooms.
5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to coat all ingredients.
6. Cover the skillet and bring the mixture to a boil.
7. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until chicken is cooked through and cream has thickened.
8. If sauce is too thin, remove lid and increase heat to reduce and thicken to desired consistency.
9. Season with salt to taste before serving.
