10-Minute Shrimp Scampi

This classic shrimp scampi recipe is quick, easy, and elegant, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a simple dinner party. A touch of white wine elevates the flavor, and the entire dish is ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1½ pounds large or jumbo shrimp
  • ½ lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Cauliflower (optional, for cauliflower mash)
  • Additional garlic, olive oil, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper (optional, for cauliflower mash)
  • Zucchini noodles or spaghetti (optional, for serving)

Step 1: Sautéing the Garlic

Add butter and olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat.

Swirl the skillet to combine the butter and oil.

Add minced garlic to the skillet.

Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 2: Creating the Sauce

Add dry white wine to the skillet.

Add kosher salt and red pepper flakes.

Stir the ingredients together.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it reduce by half.

Step 3: Cooking the Shrimp

Add shrimp to the skillet.

Sauté the shrimp for about 3 minutes, or until cooked through.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Stir everything together.

Step 5: Plating Option 1: Cauliflower Mash (Optional)

Steam cauliflower.

Prepare cauliflower mash by adding sautéed garlic, olive oil, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper to the steamed cauliflower.

Blend the cauliflower mixture until smooth.

Spread cauliflower mash on a plate.

Add shrimp on top of the mash.

Drizzle the lemon garlic butter sauce from the skillet over the shrimp and mash.

Step 6: Plating Option 2: Zucchini Noodles (Optional)

Add zucchini noodles to the remaining shrimp and sauce in the skillet.

Toss the zucchini noodles and shrimp together.

Serve the shrimp and zoodles in a bowl.
